Quilt Market!

So...the last few days have been a whirlwind of to-do's and things "I forgot to do!" I did finally make a decision on binding for my Bella Solids quilt and decided to go with the Bella grey.

I also finally got around to making the "Hampton Weekend Bag"by V and Co. I've been wanting to make this since last market when Vanessa introduced it. The bag went together great...there is an interior zipper pocket which was a cinch to install, and there are also two open interior pockets. I used Shape Flex on the outer bag fabric and the lining to give it just a little more body (the pattern only called for interfacing on the lining). With the next one I am going to use a combination of fusible fleece and Shape Flex. I think it's going to be a great bag for market!

And...speaking of market...I had a great flight into Houston today....

And I had the best Mexican food I've ever had at Ninfa's near downtown Houston.

Also, the night view from my hotel is pretty nice! I can't wait for Schoolhouse and Sample Spree tomorrow!
Thanks so much for stopping by!

This time last year I had been through a day of flying, a day of setup and a day of Schoolhouse and was eating the best BBQ ever.
Enjoy your adventure.

Choosing binding for the Solids Along quilt has been so hard! My quilt has been ready for binding for weeks, but there it sits because I can't make a decision!

Have a wonderful time!

Welcome to Houston Sherri! I hope you have a great time. I eat at Ninfa's a few times a year (I live in Houston). It is the best texmex I think. Did you try the queso? How about the Tacos el Carbon? Have fun!!

Having grown up in Houston and now living in Florida I can honestly say Ninfa's is the BEST. We sure miss it, but will happily enjoy it again at Thanksgiving.
I hope you have fun at Market and Festival.
