With Fabric and Thread: More Than 20 Inspired Quilting and Sewing Patterns
I have a couple of favorite projects in the book...well I have a lot of favorites...I think I need to make almost everything! But there are two projects that I'm especially fond of because last summer I was able to piece two of the featured quilts. Cherry Blossom (pictured above) is one of my favorite quilts ever...I can't wait to make my own! (This quilt is also featured in two other colorways that are absolutely beautiful)!
I was also able to piece Fresh Vintage Patchwork; Joanna pieced the house block, and I pieced the rest of the quilt and put everything together. This is another timeless design that is on my summer "to-do" list!
The Summer Soiree Patchwork Quilt is another "must make" for me. And there are so many other patterns: kitchen accessories, home decor items, aprons, bags and more!
I love that the book has a hard cover and is spiral bound; the back of the book has a pattern pocket to store all of the full-sized patterns that are included!
I highly recommend With Fabric & Thread...it's the perfect addition to any quilter or sewist's library!
Thanks so much for stopping by...have a wonderful weekend!

Cherry Blossom looks gorgeous. Fig Tree quilts are always so fresh looking and yet calming. Thanks for the book review. I'll have to see about ordering one.
How fun! I love the cherry blossom quilt, too. Thanks for sharing!

I love her books and have her last one which I often just sit and read but I love the house block and the rest of the quilt to.
i must get this. the quilts are so pretty. so i put it on my list of new books to get.
I can certanly see why you admire those quilts and the book as a whole. I need to place it on my wish list. :0) What an honor to have your beautiful quilts featured.
It's appears to be a beautiful book with stunning projects. It's on my 'wish list'. :-)
Looks like an really interesting book. I will look for it! Thanks for the review!
Love that book, will have to have it in my life.....something's you just got to have.xx
Love the cherry blossom quilt and can't wait to see it in other colorways. That really helps me, when I can see a design or quilt in numerous colorways (I guess I'm color-challenged, or maybe I lack color knowledge.)
BTW - is the giveaway to Shabby Fabrics or Sew Fabulous? (both GREAT shops). One blog entry says Shabby Fabrics and the latest one says Sew Fabulous).
Thanks for your great blog.
That was a great book review. It does look library worthy, her color sense is so lovely.
I always love a good book to sit and drool over!!!!
I just LOVE the Cherry Blossom quilt. I'm thinking this book is a must purchase.
