I love long weekends...and on this one I was determined to do some patriotic sewing! My "Americana" quilts are some of my favorites--I love having them out and about the house during the summer. My two favorite lap-size quilts are both made with fabrics from Minick & Simpson. The top quilt in the photo above is a scrappy quilt that combines fabrics from several Minick & Simpson fabric collections. The bottom quilt is made entirely from the Nantucket line.
I think Minick & Simpson's upcoming line, American Banner Rose, might be my favorite of their collections. It seems to have the perfect colors, prints and patterns!
I'm hoping to at least get a table runner made this evening...if I could just decide which fabrics to use first!

And since there was a parade yesterday, I have some winners to announce. Carrie is taking a little vacation right now but has two Minick & Simpson layer cakes to give away from their recent line, Charlevoix! Those layer cakes will be going out to Sandie from my parade and to Joyce from Sinta's parade.
Quilt Taffy will be sending a gift certificate to Leah from my parade. (Oh, and did you know they have some limited quantities of not-yet-released Moda pre-cuts on their Etsy site?)!
Quilter's Paradise will be giving a gift certificate to Sandy F.
And Bear Paw Quilts is sending out a little patriotic fat quarter grouping to Carol!
Hoping you're all having a great weekend!
