Ruby

I'm taking a little break from the market reports to share some market sewing. It was super fun to get the call from Camille one evening that Ruby had arrived--by the next morning I was cutting out quilts with this wonderful fabric.

The first quilt I made using Ruby was "Jellybean"--a fun, fast jelly roll quilt that goes together in a jiffy.

I love this quilt..and couldn't wait to see it quilted and hanging in the booth at market!

Next up was "Swoon." I loved the pattern from first glance but didn't realize until I'd made a block or two the impact this quilt would have.

Making this big block quilt was a lot of fun.  It was just stunning as it came together.  Again, I could hardly wait to see it quilted...and in the booth.

Isn't the quilting beautiful?

Such a fun quilt--the blocks are big, so they're easy to piece.  You can see the rest of Camille's new patterns here.  Her new stuff is all great...but these two just happen to be my favorites!

Also, thanks so much Camille, for letting me use your beautiful photos--yep, she took every single one of these gorgeous photos!

I fell in love with Swoon when I saw it in Market photos... and ordered the PDF pattern from Camille and had it in my hot little hands in not time! Now since I don't have access to Ruby, I am deciding what line to use. The photos you show are absolutely beautiful, the quilting is fantastic!

You made those quilts? How exciting for you. I just love Swoon and I really want to make all the new quilts that Camille has patterns for. I even want to make them from Ruby and I am thinking that Swoon is going to be a queen size quilt for our bed.

Oh! So beautiful!

This is probably a really dumb question...but...is Ruby the fabric line?

I'm looking for something to make my baby girl a quilt with.... and her name is...yep... "Ruby" So I just about jumped out of my chair when I saw your post!

It was so nice to meet you at market! You did a beautiful job with these quilts!

I love big block quilts... they're modern with a nod to the traditional. A perfect mix I think.

Debbie said...

Aha! I've found Ruby! and you've introduced me to a whole new line of fabrics! I'm a "beginner" with sewing...so I don't know many of the names/companies yet.

Oh... how sad for me that Ruby isn't out until October...lol...but I'll wait! And Bliss... it's so beautiful as well!... but..My Ruby will need a quilt made from Ruby!

I love the swoon quilt!
Do you by chance have a full picture of the quilt, or do you mind sharing which of the ruby line you used in it?

Elizabeth Eddie said...

I would also like to know the fabric choices you used within the ruby line, I can't tell from the pictures!
