Not What I Should be Working On!
There are so many things I should be doing--I have more Christmas presents to make, more cleaning to do, and lots more decorating to finish, but I just had to set my "Sugar Twist" blocks together (Pattern by Margot of The Pattern Basket). Now to decide on a border!
And I just had to take one more picture of my Flea Market Fancy hexies--thanks once again to a blogging friend I now have a hexagon from all 45 fabrics in the collection (the lighter of the two green bubble dots was the hardest print to find). I can't wait to start setting these together. For now, though, they'll have to wait--tomorrow's December 1st, and there is a lot to do!

probably not what you whould be working on but it is beautiful.........I love that pattern by Margot.......
I love that design! Very cool. Don't worry, it's a quilters sickness. I'm avoiding the decorating, cleaning and packing to move in favor of sewing a new bag for myself!!
I have lot to do also, but somehow I ended up at my LQS today, not doing laundry or decorating for the holidays! I see where you are coming from! Love the hexagons and Sugar Twist blocks! Can't wait to see the Butterchurns tomorrow!
Sugar Twist is sweet as can be. Lucky you to have the entire collection of FMF for your hexies. They're so pretty all lined up in rows.
Hey sweetie, the dust etc will still be there tomorrow, don't stress about it. Enjoy your sewing like we do especially those Sugar Twist blocks.
hugs

I am LOVIN' your sugar twist! So much so, I'm putting it on my list! The pattern & Bliss work really well together.
Both projects look beautiful! What are you going to do with your hexies??? :)
Love your quilt you're working on. Love those fabrics.
Always nice to see some more hexies :)
Blessings
Love all those hexies!!!
The Sugar Twist blocks are great!!
Yeah, the list of SHOULD BE DOING is always long. A girl has to sew daily though right??? LOVE the Bliss quilt. The hexies are cute but out of my league. ;)
One word for both Sugar Twist and hexies - gorgeous!
:)
Such an adorable quilt! Love the colors!!!
sometimes you just need to work on what you want to work on!
Looks super sweet on both accounts. Especially the twist one. love that pattern. So if you're not supposed to be working on this, what are you supposed to be working on?

Love the hexies. You are right! The flea market fancy collection is now very hard to find. I see some people charging $15 for an FQ of the seeds fabric from that collection.
I guess it's in very high demand! Lucky you for getting each fabric!
Love it!!!
That's such a fun idea to collect every fabric -- congratulations on finding them all!
Sometimes you just have to work on the things that call to you! Sugar Twist is going to be wonderful!
I definitely vote for working on a quilt over cleaning any day! You made the right choice and they are both beautiful!
These projects look way more fun that cleaning or decorating. There will be plenty of time to finish those later. Love your sugar twist blocks! How fun to hear you were able to get each print from the rare FMF prints! What a great way to showcase them.
Sugar Twist is just adorable! Great little hexies too. :-) Looking fwd to tomorrow!! ;-)
It's all looking good.
'sugar twist' is just yummy...in my opinion, a completely excusable project!
conbrats on completing your fmf collection! i'm looking forward to seeing it in a finished pillow/quilt/? !
hugs, julia
I understand. But... they are beautiful and who wouldn't want to continue on...
Sherri,
I just love your projects...they always inspire me to do something different. I'm new to all the new patterns and techniques in quilting. I learned over 20 yrs. ago using few tools or tricks of the trade. I love reading and updating my quilting skills. The sugar twist blocks are almost like looking at ice cream!! And I love ice cream!
Blessings

LOVE! LOVE! LOVE! your Sugar Twist! Can't wait to get going on mine!
LOVE your Sugar Twist done with Bliss. I've been waiting on that pattern, wanting to find just the right fabric for it. I might have to search around for a Bliss layer cake!
Sherri, I want to make the smaller version. Did you figure out the directions? I'm going to get my 55 prairie points ready.
