Still Busy Sewing...

I've been busy sewing...but as soon as I think I'm catching up...I think of more things I need to do. I'm starting to feel like whatever I finish...I finish...and that will have to be good enough. I did applique' my two Dresdens and even added borders to make two pillows. I'm hoping to keep one and use the other for a gift.
I decided I did need a table runner out of these fabrics (actually, I'm trying to get at least two of these finished for gifts before Christmas...just quilting and binding remains).

I used a new (for me) table runner pattern by Heather Mulder Peterson. This is the "Sweet Escape" runner from the cover of Heather's On the Run book. It was fast and fun to make, and requires only minimal yardage and 16 charm squares.

After putting these together I also realized that left-over jelly-roll strips could be used in place of the charms...so I'm sure I'll be making more of these in the future.

Some wonderful mail arrived last week...a wonderful brown paper package tied with...Verna from Moda designer Kate Spain!!! I can hardly wait for Christmas to open this!!!

Also, I won a giveaway from Vickie of Spun Sugar Quilts...and this Jelly Roll of Make Life by Sweetwater for Moda was my prize...I have a project in mind for this right after Christmas.

Some Schnibbly goodness arrived from Carrie...Two Bits, Madeline, Lincoln, Sunday Best, Roundabout, and Sweet Liberty Tuffets are new Schnibbles now available! It's very tempting to start on these now...but I. must. hold. strong. until. after. Christmas!!! A few Sweet Liberty Tuffets might get finished before Christmas...they're perfect stocking stuffers for sewing friends! Oh...and I must finish my January Schnibbles by the end of the year as well!

Well...I'm back to the sewing room...hope all of your holiday preparations are going well...and that you have the merriest of Christmases. Christmas and New Year's are always a time when I count my blessings...and I'm truly grateful for all the blessings I've received this year from all of you! I know I've said this before...but I just never realized what wonderful inspiration I would find when I began my little quilting blog. I intended to create a personal journal of my projects, and yet a whole world of quilt inspiration has been opened up through all of the amazing blog writers and readers. See you after Christmas!

I've got one that I had been working on, but time is short right now, as you well know :-) Thanks for all the inspiration and encouragement that you have given to me. Oh, I love the table runner! You always do such a great job.
I know what you mean by "you finish something and there is always something else to do". I think that is our (quilters') blessing and curse. We will never run out of things to do. :)

What a lot of work you have gotten done. And I had never heard of "Snibbles" I will go check them out.
I am already doing 4 BOM so I don't know if I can take on another monthly activity, but they look cute. I love blogs for this reason - learn something new every day!
Have a great Christmas. Mary in MA

Wow...can't believe you are still sewing!!! You've made some great projects. Good for you. I had to stop sewing...unfortunately. I don't know what to do with myself. I can't wait to get back to it...but it won't be until January. I am having withdrawals. Have a joyous Christmas!!!!! Looking forward to reaping the benefits of your wonderful inspiration in the New Year!!
